Transitional Drug Abuse Treatment(TDAT)

Crosspoint offers long-term outpatient drug abuse treatment for Federal clients who are in the process of transitioning back into the community. The return to the community presents many challenges that were not a part of the daily routine while the clients were institutionalized. The TDAT Program provides clients with the necessary support during the transition. Clients receive group, individual, and family education/counseling.

TDAT clients can be referred to a Crosspoint clinician for mental health assessment if a mental health problem is suspected. This referral can come from the TDAT counselor, a Crosspoint staff member or a member of the interdisciplinary Program Review Team. Based on the diagnosis, a client may then be referred to mental health counseling to improve his or her ability to successfully complete drug abuse treatment services.
